My internet started working yesterday! It's kinda crazy though, because technically my internet shouldn't work on the school network since I don't have Windows XP. So I don't know how or why it's working, but it is.
Now I'm going to lunch, and then 2 more classes. I haven't quite figured out how to carry my giant sketchbooks in the rain. I should probably figure that out in the next couple minutes.
Later fools.

the wicked awesomeness strikes again
So tonight was pretty much awesome. The wicked awesome duo of Kristina and I went to Caribou. Probably the last time before we go away to college. Kristina just got back from West Virginia yesterday, and she showed me an awesome shirt that she bought out there. For real, she bought it brand new in WV.
Then we visited my sister Amberly at Coldstone, and on the way we heard Spitalfield on the radio! It was our favorite song on the newest cd (Five Days and Counting, from Remember Right Now), and the first time we'd heard it on the radio! We got super excited, kinda like the time we heard Billy Corgan thank Sleeping At Last on one of Kristina's Zwan cd's. So I made a video of the moment, and I would link to it but I don't think I can upload videos onto the internet for free and link to them. Here's a picture of Amberly at work instead.
After that we went to Meijer so I could return a lampshade I bought a couple months ago that ended up being too small for my lamp. While we were there, we ran into our friends Jonathan and Patrick!
Patrick talked on his cell most of the time
Kristina and I have this problem where we spend way too much time shopping at Meijer. Finally we got out of there after at least 1 1/2 hours, with a cartful of stuff Kristina bought to take to college. Throw pillows for her futon for $2 each! Meijer is awesome, second to Super Target (we would've gone there but it closed 5 minutes before we got there, boo).
Then we came back to my house and chilled for a while, but I was way tired and Kristina's dad expected her home at a resonable hour, so we called it quits early on the chilling.
Thus ends the dull "this is what I did today" entry. I just like putting up pictures. Goodnight.
ps- I move into my college dorm on Wednesday! The excitement builds. These next couple days will probably be super busy, as well as the days after I move in, so if it's a while before I update again, that's why. So leave me messages so I feel loved!

one week till i go to college
College is a'comin.
It's been a while since I've put an introspective post in here, and I've been thinking about this deeply for about a half hour now, so it makes sense to write about it.
I have about a week left at home, and then I'm gone. It's not like I'll be very far away, I'm only going to school downtown and I can easily take the train home if I want to. Although I'm not going to come home until my high school's homecoming, which is usually at the end of September. So that's about a month I'll be gone.
I'm not really going to miss my family, but I think I'll really miss my friends, especially the few that are going far away. Lots of my close friends will still be in Illinois, but some are going out of state and I don't know how often I'll see them.
I guess I'm just realizing that with only a week left it's not much time to call everyone and see each person one last time before leaving. Some of my friends I haven't seen very much this summer because I forget to call people and think of stuff to do, and then when they call me I realize how long it's been.
That's not all I've been thinking about. I still haven't received my loan application in the mail, which isn't good at all because I still need to pay my bill before the school year starts. My first day of class is August 23. Maybe I should get some school stuff, like notebooks? Or some snack food, because I have classes during lunch 4 days a week, and I know I'm not going to get up for breakfast so I need to call the school and change my meal plan from 15 a week to 10. That kinda sucks.
But I'm excited to go. I'm excited to pack and take only the stuff I need so I'll have less clutter than I do now, and I'm excited to be living on my own. Not that my parents are extremely restrictive, but it'll be nice to live in a dorm and be able to do what a want whenever I want. And it'll be nice to be only a couple miles from Lake Michigan, the Metro, and Wrigley Field.
I want to start packing now.
Hopefully I'll see more of my friends this week, have lots of fun, eat lots of good food before I'm stuck with caf food, and get my student loan so I can pay for college.
I wonder what will change in a week.
