11 more hours till we leave for Cornerstone! Whoop whoopity whoopifer.
A few months ago I wrote an entry about seeing a crazy man on State St. downtown who was wearing a red silk suit, stumbling around, muttering to himself, and trying to talk to people about his suit. Well yesterday I saw him on State again! This time he was further north on the street, on the bridge, and instead of wearing a red silk suit he was wearing one with a busy pattern. He was looking over the bridge, and I was with my friend Kristina and he turned around and waved at us. It wasn't a casual friendly wave, he tipped his head down and looked up at us with a scary look in his eye while holding his hand near his chin and flalpping it slowly up and down. It was really creepy, and I don't usually get creeped out by people. I recognized him immediately, and when he started waving I rushed past him. Upon seeing him I got a really bad feeling in my stomach, and as soon as we passed him I told Kristina that he was the same crazy guy. She said that she had a bad feeling too, like if he was evil, and Kristina doesn't get creeped out easily. It was so bizarre.
I wonder what his story is. He can't be homeless, since he changes his suit and he and his suits are clean, and he has a crazy look in his eyes as if he's not aware what's going on around him or his mind is in a completely different place. His mannerisms make me think that he's not "all there," and since he hangs around State and walks as if he has no place to go, it makes me think that he lives near there. Most places near State that I've seen are super expensive to live in, so maybe he's a rich man with a fetish for unique suits. But he's so crazy and when he's near people they rush away from him (more than they do other people). Don't crazy people who are rich usually have someone to take care of him? If he's not rich and doesn't live near there, where does he come from? And if he's not crazy, why does he act the way he does?
Enough with the strange man. I need to finish packing!
