To be honest, I just copied and pasted this entry from my xanga. Sorry, no new original entry for diaryland, sorry again.
The shindig was a success! It was definitely kickrear. Mos def. I haven't had a birthday celebration of the shindig sorts in quite a few years, so I was a little nervous as to how it would go, but it exceeded my expectations and was an awesome time! I'd guess there were about 30 people there, all of whom are people that I genuinely enjoy being around, and some of them were people I hadn't seen in a few months so that added to the goodness.
Hmm...in case someone doesn't know what I'm talking about, my 18th birthday was on Friday so I had a little party to celebrate.
Some highlights: Well this highlight is not from the shindig, but from school. My last class of the day is a computer class, and my teacher, Mr. Dennison (who is also my Bible teacher), sang "Happy Birthday" to me the way Marilyn Monroe sang it to the president. Yep, he did the breathy voice AND the shimmy, it was hilarious.
Presents were all great (since I wasn't really expecting presents), and I don't favor any of them, but one that really sticks out right now is from my friend Kristina. She got me the new Spitalfield cd that I have been pining after for so long! Mmm...Spitalfield goodness. She also got me a Dali book, among other things. I swear she can read my mind.
Amberly got me cigars, so later that night Melody and I went on my back deck and smoked some. Melody's been smoking cigars for awhile, so she's pretty good, but I was not. My little smoke clouds were really small, and I accidentally inhaled a couple times. You wish you were as slick as me.
When my mom got home she said, "I don't want you to turn into a smoker!" Well I'm not going to smoke cigarettes ever because they are so disgusting, and I don't plan on smoking cigars again until after prom, so my mom doesn't have to worry about me becoming a smoker. Even though my goal was to smoke a pipe on my 18th birthday, the cigars were still great. They tasted and smelled really good. I have 3 left, and I keep sniffing them. I gotta stop that.
My birthday was a great conclusion to an extraordinarily good week. And tonight I have no homework! I'll spend the rest of the day going crazy to Spitalfield!!!! April 23, we gotta go!!!!!!!
