i'm the one with curly hair and a green apron

After gorging ourselves on Chinese food Wednesday afternoon, Heidi, Melody, Shannon, and I went back to Heidi's house and watched the singing scenes in "Moulin Rouge." Before I saw that movie I didn't have an opinion on Ewin McGregor, but after I heard him sing the first time I saw that movie, I fell in love with him. There's something about a guy who can sing, or who has any real musical talent. Any musician who says he can't get a girl is a liar. Or he has really bad hygiene.

Perhaps I should write about Thanksgiving. It was just my mom, dad, brother, sister, and me. Very different from last year, when we went to Baltimore and spent it with the May family. That has to be one of my favorite Thanksgivings since we moved here. This Thanksgiving was still good, Toby and Amberly both home from college, we laughed at each other's jokes, and no one fought this year (mainly due to the fact that Toby and I get along better now, let's hear it for similar music tastes!). Although we didn't have salmon this year, we had turkey. I was really looking forward to salmon. My family has salmon for a lot of holidays, it's better than Turkey. At least my mom made sweet potato casserol, that stuff is delectable.

Today I worked 7 hours. I ate some yogurt at 8:30 on my way to work, and the next meal I ate was some Thanksgiving leftovers at about 6:00. I was so hungry, even though I got to snack on a couple goodies in the stock room in the rare down moments. Williams Sonoma was so busy today, I could barely make my way around the store! It was pretty overwhelming at times, having at least three people walkie me asking for me to bring up stuff in the stock room that I couldn't find, but there were some calm times as well to balance it out. I love my job, I wish it wasn't just a seasonal job, but then I wouldn't have enough time for AP homework.

Speaking of which, I have an A- in AP English!!!!!! I have no idea how this happened, I don't get A's on papers, maybe it was a computer error or maybe Mrs. Wright had pity on me, whatever the reason is I'm still in disbelief. An ecstatic disbelief, of course.

Also, I got accepted to Grand Valley State University, and I get a scholarship where I get to pay the same tuition as a Michigan resident! I also qualify for another scholarship that I have to compete for. Plus, I got accepted to LeTourneau! (I can't remember if I already mentioned that in here) and I get a scholarship there too, and if I score a measly 10 points higher on my SAT next Saturday then I get to compete for a full ride scholarship down there! Although I haven't heard back from Texas Christian University yet, and I set in that application at least a week before my GVSU application. I hope that's not a bad sign. Yet I still need to apply to Trinity, I just don't want to write those essays. I don't think I'm going to apply to North Park, it has a pretty high application fee and I'm not sure I'm interested in the school enough. We'll see though, I can be easily swayed. Which is why it's going to be so hard to pick a college! My biggest fear is transfering, I really want to pick the right school so I can stay there all four years. This is too big of a decision, how about one school can just give me a full tuition scholarship so I'll know to go there? Sounds good.

Amberly should get home from work around 10:30 and hopefully we'll watch "Holiday Inn" if she's not too tired. Or if I'm not too tired.

Hmm...should I work on my Edgar Allan Poe setting paper, or my wood carving? As much as I love Edgar, the carving sounds like more fun. Let's see if I cut myself!
