Hey guys,
I'm in the midst of writing an essay on Death of a Salesman, but I can't sit still and work on an essay for long periods of time so I look for any excuse to take a break--food, computer, sleep, food, tv, other homework, shower, food--you get the idea. However, give me an art project and I'll work on it nonstop till it's done, ignoring food, sleep, and all other distractions.
Speaking of art projects, I'm taking 3D art this semester. Mrs. House, who has been the art teacher and guidance counselor at Westminster for several years, is now just the guidance counselor, so now Josh is our new art teacher. Josh is the soccer coach and he graduated from Westminster awhile ago but I don't know him, so now it's like I have to prove to him that I don't suck at art. As far as he knows I'm some moron who can barely draw scribbly 3D objects, because that's all we've been doing so far in 3D art. It's driving me insane because he has us do a ton of quick sketches and it's using up so many pages in my sketch book that I'd rather use on a drawing of substance.
So school started on Tuesday....and I'm already sick of it. I miss my sleep. At least we don't have to wear collared shirts and tuck them in anymore. My schedule is: AP English, Understanding the Times (Bible), Calculus, 3D Art (next semester it'll be Honors Art), Study Hall, Government (Economics next semester), teacher assisstant for freshman Health (next semester health will be Gym), and then Basic Computer Skills. I wish I wasn't taking Basic Computer Skills, but I need my computer credit. Too bad we don't have a web design class, I know Rachel and I would take it.
School is considerably less fun without Kristina, Dane, Dan, or Mallory around. Sell outs that go to other schools and leave us without them. Relax, I'm joking, they're not sell outs. Chumps maybe, but definitely not sell outs.
But enough about school. Who wants to read about school? Let's move on to something more fun, like...I have a minor post-op infection from getting my wisdom teeth pulled last month. My right cheek started swelling on Saturday, but the swelling quickly subsided and gave way to a small, hard lump on my jawline. I went to back to Dr. Finger's office (heheh, his name makes me laugh) today and the other doctor prescribed some antibiotics for me. They're green. There's something unnerving about taking green pills.
I want a new template. I tend to get bored easily. I still really like this template, it reminds me of summer camp. I like these colors and the stripes, but it's time for something new. So I've recruited Rachel to make me one with these colors. Stay tuned.
Hmm. I bet I could've gotten a lot of my essay done in the time it took to write this entry.
Sorry for writing a boring entry about school. To make up for it I'll leave you with a funny Melody quote:
"I love food, it's my weakness. Just like that stuff to Superman."
