It's time for a new template, I'm bored with the old one. Although this one is similar to that one. I like the colors.
So anyway, Alli Robson might transfer to LeTourneau! She hasn't made a definite decision, she's choosing between some other schools, but I really hope she goes to LeTourneau because it's a good school for her major, and if she goes there then I'll definitely know someone there if I go there! Maybe Amberly and I will go visit her if she goes there. IF.
It was storming this morning, and I woke up around 3 and couldn't go back to sleep for a long time. It wasn't even raining yet, I'm not sure why I had woken up. Around 3:30 I closed my windows in case it would rain soon, and sure enough it started raining shortly after. I was lying in bed with my blankets covering my face and just as there was a huge lightning flash I peered over my blankets and saw a man standing over my bed! It was like in one of those old horror movies when the character thinks everything ok, then suddenly lightning strikes and she can see the outline of the killer standing over her. My body totally flinched, and then I realized it was my dad. "Holy crap you scared me!" "Sorry, I was checking to make sure your windows were closed." It was a nice gesture, but I was so startled that I thought I would crap my pants.
Today Kristina and I saved the world. We were supposed to go to John's house at 11, but when Kristina got there his dad said he was still asleep, so we went to downtown Elgin. We walked on a little islandy area in the Fox River. If you look past the green water and nasty smell, it's quite pretty. There are bridges, steps that go down to the water, sidewalks surrounded by flowers and other foliage, gazebo areas, ducks swimming, people fishing. There are little bricks on the walkways that have been engraved in memory of people, and next to those is a brick that says Sherman Health Systems. Quite the contrast -bricks in memory of people and then a brick advertising a company.
Lots of ducks were swimming around and this one mom had four tiny baby ducks with her, they looked like little balls of fuzz. We walked around to get a closer look at them, and two of the babies were trapped on the other side of a mesh fence that separates the river from the bank! Kristina and I broke the rules and went into the foliage to rescue them. We kept telling the babies that we were helping them, but they weren't listening and tried to run away from us and their mom kept quaking at us. Then her and the two other babies started to swim away! She was going to abandon her children! Luckily just at that moment Kristina lifted up the fence in the right part and the babies swam out and joined their mom and siblings. Props to Kristina for resisting the urge to kidnap one of the babies. There was another trapped duck earlier, but it escaped before we had a chance to risk our lives and save it. I think we deserve a reward, or at least a brick named after us.
Then we got John and went paint shopping. I won't spoil any secrets, all I'll say is John's room will be the coolest room ever! Not just because it will be painted by Kristina and I, but because we are master wall painters and can paint like no one else. And you will be jealous that your room doesn't look like John's.
A word to the ignorant fools out there: don't pick fights with people in big cars. You will die.
