This is how it went down:
Thursday night Kristina and I were driving down Randall, listening to a Zwan cd she just bought at Kiss the Sky (greatest music store ever!). It's a rare recording cd from a show a couple years ago. It was funny because people in the crowd would shout stuff out and Billy Corgan would respond to them, the way he was interacting with the crowd was cool. We were quiet for a couple seconds, just listening, when all of a sudden Billy Corgan was talking about the guys in the band and then he says, "And I want to thank Sleeping at Last-"
"Sleeping at Last?!?!?!?!"
"Wha????"
"Woah!"
"Oh holy crap!"
"No way, Sleeping at Last!"
"They played at the Annex!"
"No way!"
"Holy crap!"
"Woah!"
"Fkopehjgkjekop!"
This continued for quite some time, accompanied by lots of hand gestures and starting to say things but being rendered speechless.
Sleeping at Last! Even as I write this I can't quite fathom it. Sleeping at Last played with Zwan! How cool is that? No really, I want to know, how cool is it?
